Referring to the surfaces created by erasing graffiti, the language we speak "buff" transformed into this look. I expressed the complexity of layers by breaking the plaid lines and embroidering decorative patches. How graffiti enjoyers cherish yet despise the spots that got buffed, where non-graffiti artists perceive as a disruption to a plane surface.
