DRCS throw up poncho, Reflective fleece joggers and sweatshirt, Barter knit hat
The statement of this look is about street fashion royalty. Skateboarding and graffiti have a high stake in street fashion because of their presence on the street. Glamorized and zeroed in by the eye of fashion pioneers, both cultures come in and out of the spotlight. This ability to stand alone as independent individual culture was the inspiration for the look and the collection.
Because of my desire to put graffiti on the pedestal as a form of contemporary art, photographing it on the body had become a representation of the royal nature of the graffiti’s position when it comes to personal individual artistic expression.

Since a poncho has multiple openings, defined by the actual composition of the graffiti itself, there are many ways to wear the garment. The wearer may choose the silhouette to fit his taste. By providing this freedom of choice, I want to project the importance of personal decisions when making one’s fashion choices. I believe we are all unique, and clothes are a great vessel to express the unique nature of the individual.
Simple 4 panel pattern with a tapered bottom
Constructed with an active seam machine and white thread as a contrast to display the seams
